There are countless wedding vendors who look forward to the unveiling of Pantones yearly “Color of the Year” designation. It’s like Peoples “Sexiest Man Alive” but for those of us in  creative realm hahaha. These chosen colours influence design choices across a multitude of Industries, all the way from fashion to furniture.

This year, I have to admit that I am pleasantly surprised with Pantones choices which is both PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating and  PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray (pictured above).

According to pantone.com: “Emboldening the spirit, the pairing of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 highlights our innate need to be seen, to be visible, to be recognized, to have our voices heard. A combination of color whose ties to insight, innovation and intuition, and respect for wisdom, experience, and intelligence inspires regeneration, pressing us forward toward new ways of thinking and concepts.”

So what does it mean for the Weddings of 2021….well here are our predictions of what we think we’ll be seeing more of this year:

• Citrus Floral Invites: We love the fresh feel of a good citrus color palette and we are definitely ready to bring this trend back.

• Yellow Pops of Color: You know, all those little accent pieces that tie together the look, lets make them yellow, from seating charts to bridal accessories. 

• Gray Suits: Now it’s true that gray suits have been trending for a while, but we hope that this classic look sticks around for at least a few more years.

• Yellow Florals: We love blush as much as the next bride but there is something about a vibrant dose of color that we adore, plus there are so many flowers that come in variations of yellow.

• Gray Dresses- Now hear us out, the thing with yellow dresses is that if you want a uniform look it can be pretty difficult to find the perfect hue but when it comes to gray there’s are so many flattering tones that you can play with. Plus, they are a perfect backdrop for all of those yellow florals.
