Having a Positive Mindset

“Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.” – John Wooden

Mindset, this is a subject that is very near and dear to my heart, so what better weekend than this Valentines/ Family Day to discuss it. This pandemic has done a number on our mental health over the past year. It’s so easy to feel anxious, overwhelmed and downright defeated as our plans have been downsized, postponed and for a few of us completely cancelled.

We are all in a situation where we are unable to predict what’s happening next week, much less a few months from now…so what CAN you do?

You can choose not to let your internal condition be a reflection of your external circumstances, and that’s it, I’m sorry it’s not more profound but sometimes the best answers are the simplest ones. Life will always throw us curve balls, few we’ll suffer as a collective as we are now and most we’ll endure individually or with our immediate circle of family and friends.

We have to take the circumstances that we’ve been dealt and constantly adapt our goals and expectations to suit our new reality, that’s the best way that we can gift ourselves peace of mind with every new step that we take.

I have high hopes for the remainder of 2021 and whether or not they all come to pass has yet to be seen, but that won’t stop me from hoping.

Cheers,

Kayla
