Choosing the right Wedding Vendors

Choosing professional and reputable Wedding vendors is arguably one of the most important decisions you will make for your Wedding day. We are very lucky that here in Simcoe County we have an abundance of Vendor options for every product and service… but how do you choose?

Here we have compiled our top 5 tips to help you choose the right vendors for your Wedding day:

  1. Ask for referrals
  • Living in the technological age definitely has its perks and one of them is being able to contact friends, online wedding groups and other vendors for their top industry referrals.
  1. Check out their Social Media Platforms
  • Instagram and Facebook are fantastic resources for engaged couples to peruse when deciding which Vendors to contact and hire. Pay attention to each vendors posts & stories and how it’s received by others, these photos will give you an idea of the style and capabilities of each business.
  1. Ask about their payment structure, and their rescheduling and cancellation policy.
  • Most Vendors have different payment structures set up for their clients, from the deposit to the final payment, it’s important to know and schedule each of these in your calendar. The Covid pandemic has taught us all that it is more important now than ever before to know what penalties you will incur if you choose to reschedule or cancel your Wedding, so ask every vendor that you’re considering hiring and make sure you have their responses in writing.
  1. Reach out
  • Don’t be afraid to reach out and contact different vendors that you’d like to learn more from and book consultations with them. This is a great way to build a professional and trusting relationship.
  1. Whats their back up plan?
  • With so many working parts to a Wedding ceremony and reception it is common for couples to fear the unknown, to help ease any worry that you may have, ask your vendors about their back up plans, is case of sickness or emergency.

It can be overwhelming trying to choose the “right” vendors, but it’s important to make your choice based on appreciation and trust.

Cheers,
